Where to Find Me: Therapy, Creative Work, and Why I Keep Them Separate

I wear two hats. I'm a therapist, and I'm the creative mind behind Windborne House. Honoring each calling well means being clear about where they live and how they stay apart.

I've recently made some changes to where I see therapy clients, so here is how everything works now.

Starting Therapy

Where I offer therapy

I provide trauma-informed, integrative psychotherapy through two practices in California. To choose, just ask yourself one question:

Would you like to use insurance?

No, I'll pay privately

Inner Vision

  • $200 per session
  • Sliding scale available
  • 4620A Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90027
Yes, I'll use insurance

Community Counseling Connection

  • Insurance accepted
  • They'll check your coverage and copay
  • Reach out by email or contact form

Either way, you'll be working with me. The practice handles scheduling, intake, and billing so I can focus on our work together.

Credentials

A note on my training

I'm an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #155314). I've completed my master's degree and am now gaining clinical hours toward full licensure under the supervision of licensed clinicians.

  • Inner Vision: supervised by Kathryn Kupillas, MA, LMFT #122539
  • Community Counseling Connection: supervised by Molly Moffitt, LMFT #142911, LPCC #16382

Supervision is a built-in layer of care. There is always an experienced clinician supporting my work and helping ensure you receive thoughtful, ethical treatment.

Boundaries

Why I don't mix therapy and creative work

If you're a therapy client, I can't also be your brand strategist, designer, or creative consultant. And if you've worked with me creatively through Windborne House, I can't become your therapist.

This isn't about wanting to say no. It comes from deep respect for what therapy asks of both of us. The therapy room holds confidentiality, vulnerability, and a power dynamic that needs careful tending. Invoices, deadlines, and creative decisions don't belong right next to the most tender parts of your inner life.

California's Board of Behavioral Sciences and professional ethics codes call these "dual relationships" and discourage them for good reason: they can cloud judgment and create role confusion.

Whichever door you walk through, you get my full, undivided attention in that role.

What this looks like in practice

  • If you're a current or former therapy client, I'll be your therapist and only your therapist.
  • If you're a current or former creative client, I won't be able to offer you psychotherapy.
  • If our work ends, any shift into a different kind of service would only be considered after significant time has passed and careful ethical consultation.

Need both kinds of support? I'm genuinely happy to refer you to trusted colleagues. You deserve a therapist and a creative partner who can each show up fully for you.

Good to Know

About the content I share

My writing, courses, and resources are here to educate and inspire. They aren't a substitute for therapy, and engaging with them doesn't make us therapist and client. That relationship begins only through a formal intake, informed consent, and scheduled sessions with one of the practices above.

If you're in crisis, please don't wait.

Questions

Still wondering?

I'd much rather you ask than wonder. If you're unsure which practice is right for you, or how this policy applies to your situation, reach out. Clarity is a form of care, and I'm always glad to offer it.
